Fleeing domestic violence, thirteen-year-old Julia and her mother come to an idyllic island where Julia spent her childhood. Julia is eager to reconnect with her best friend Ana. But Ana is in love and Julia is no longer so important to her. Her refusal reopens Julia’s wounds and throws her back into a whirlwind of violence.
